Sharing Your Lifestyle (Podcast)
Episode 29: Sharing Your Lifestyle (Podcast).
If your sexual preference or lifestyle is “controversial” by society’s terms, you might find yourself questioning whether or not to share it with your family and friends. For those who are GLBT, the answer is increasingly yes, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Society is *slowly* moving past tolerance into acceptance around GLBT. Finally.
Alternative lifestyles are a different story. They are not understood or accepted by society, although I see that *slowly* changing as well. More and more people I meet not only know the term polyamory, but they often know someone who is living an open lifestyle. But the question remains…do you share this with your more conservative friends/family?

My mother was poly with my 2 step dads. She was married to one then the other in order. And lived with both for many years untill my first step dad died. They moved from Anacortez Washington to Whidby Is. I think they mostly kept it quiet to strangers they did not know yet. But were out with the family. I am now married and we are hoping to someday find someone that our lives are bettered by. Here’s to the future. I have a 20 year old son that knows alot about me but I don’t push it in his face. He knows but he does not ask. It is his mom after all. ewww.
Excellent! Thank you for your comment!
It’s so wonderful when you can be that open with your family. I hope you both will find someone to enrich your lives. In fact, I have no doubt that you will. Finding a loving secondary has certainly enriched mine! I feel as if I’ve won the love lottery in this life twice!
I’m a very lucky woman basking in abundance. We’re very lucky people, overall. So nice to be able to be open and honest. All the work is so worth it…and then some.
